Little Kickers

Our Little Kickers soccer program is designed for children ages 4 - 5.
We place the children on teams with Coaches and Assistant Coaches that will be trained by professional trainers.

Tentative Saturday Schedule:
Players will check in with their coaches and receive 30 minutes of training by licensed trainers.
Then they will have 20 minutes of game time in which the teams play against each other in a scrimmage. There are no goalies and we do not keep standings for the Little Kicker teams.

At this age it is our goal to help teach the kids the fundamentals of soccer with the primary focus on having fun and making the experience enjoyable for them.  We have found that keeping score and standings tends to change that focus.

Parent Involvement:

Although we do not have on-field participation from the parents, as it tends to distract the kids attention away from the Coaches and Assistant Coaches, we do require that at least one of the parents (or a guardian) be at the games. We also encourage the parents to positively cheer for their child and team.

We hope this brief overview has given you some insight into the North Brunswick Soccer Club Little Kickers Program and we look forward to seeing you at the start of our season at the North Brunswick Community Park, Fields 3, 4 and 5.

U6 to U14

Recreation soccer is a great way for our young soccer players to develop their skills in an organized team setting. They will be coached by professional soccer trainers in their games and practices. Trainers will develop the fundamentals of our players to give them the best chance at competing and enjoying the game of soccer.

Parent Involvement:

Each team should have at least one parent volunteer to help the soccer trainers. This includes being the contact person for the rest of the parents on the team through the Demosphere App. It is expected that parents will be good role models for the children and that they will conduct themselves in a positive manner. If you are not a parent volunteer, you must remain on the sideline and let the soccer trainers coach and teach the kids. Good sportsmanship is required by all of our parents.

Practices:

Practices are once a week and determined by the coaching staff. Practice and game information is not available prior to registration closing.

Games:

Games can occur any time between 10am and 3pm on Saturdays.

Equipment:

What you need:

  • Cleats
  • Shin guards
  • Soccer socks
  • Water bottle

*We will provide team shirts*

Unsportsmanlike Conduct

Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.  We do not permit physical or verbal abusive behavior from any parent.  Anyone that does not conduct themselves in a manner that promotes a positive atmosphere will be asked to leave by the coaches and assistant coaches.  If necessary, the coaches will ask for assistance from members of the NBSC Executive Board and we will take appropriate action up to and including dismissal of the parent from the field.
